DR. MARK THOMPSON, LAc, DPT
Mark Thompson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Licensed Acupuncturist and the owner of Mark Thompson Acutherapy. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Evidence In Motion, the largest provider of post-professional educational programs in the Physical Therapy industry. Prior to this, he completed a four-year program in Acupuncture at the country’s premier acupuncture school, Tri-State College of Acupuncture and received a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College New York. Today he is a leading thinker in developing Acutherapy, a mixed-discipline care approach addressing physical healing, pain management and musculoskeletal wellness.
JEFFREY SHEEHAN, MS, LAc
Jeffrey Sheehan is a graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where his focus of study was Western, evidence-based Trigger Point acupuncture, a field Mark Thompson has enlarged and perfected. Jeff has worked and studied with Mark since 2011 and has been participating with Mark through the development of Acutherapy and its effectiveness in addressing in real life situations.
JAIME BARBATO, MS, LAc
Jaime Barbato earned her Master of Science in Acupuncture at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA) in New York City, where she graduated with honors. She has also completed advanced acupuncture training in Japan and is currently on the clinical faculty at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. The basis of Jaime’s approach is the foundational principles of modern Western pathophysiology. This evidence-based approach allows her to maximize therapeutic benefits and interface with a patient’s other healthcare providers to provide optimal, patient-centered care.
