Jeffrey Sheehan, MS, LAc
Jeffrey Sheehan is a graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where his focus of study was Western, evidence-based trigger point acupuncture – a field Mark Thompson has enlarged and perfected. Jeff has worked and studied with Mark since 2011, and has been participating with Mark through the development of Acutherapy and its effectiveness in addressing in real life situations.
Jeffrey is deeply relatable, and through his own journeys has developed a fuller understanding of darkness and light. His particular passage helps him bring an intuitive perception of healing and treatment to his patients, which manifests itself as soon as you enter the treatment room through his humor, his reassuring manner and his honest, matter-of-fact approach. With Jeff, you will feel seen and heard.
His early interest in healing came from a desire to understand in anthropological terms how different cultures approach and treat illness and health. As Jeff continued his own recovery from physical injuries and a deeper yearning for aliveness in his life, he discovered various treatment modalities, among them, acupuncture. He found it not only treated conditions left unresolved by more conventional medicine, but it also got him walking on a different path altogether.
Today, Jeff’s approach is a convergence of his deep interests, among them a natural talent to listen with his hands. He continues to practice and perfect these skills through acupuncture, myofascial release and continued study of the musculoskeletal system.
